Before the Coffee Gets Cold

In Tokyo, there is a very special cafe. There is one seat you can sit in to go back in time—but with magic, there come a whole lot of rules. This novel is in some ways a series of vignettes, following four different customers hoping to travel back in time.

And it takes place at a coffee shop, so that’s always a bonus!

Before the Coffee Gets Cold is a sweet and simple magical realism novel, a perfect read for someone wanting something calm amidst the busy bustle of summer.

Content: Little to none, if I remember correctly. It deals with some heavier topics like death and grief, but it handles them well and respectfully.
